Travel back in time and celebrate the life and influence of renowned Canadian author Susanna Moodie. A part of the 2025 Belleville Arts Festival, our show will feature the winning entries of the Belleville Playwriting Competition, each an original work by local writers, performed by some of the Quinte Region's finest actors.

This year's theme is The Moodie Era in Belleville: 1840-1879. The winners are:

First Place -"Seasons" by Colleen Simm
Second Place - "The Story of Two Women" by Beth Milligan
Third Place - "Susanna & John Moodie Write a Play" by Ed Schroeter
